The Murmansk region ranks 4th among the Subjects of the Russian Federation and 1st among the Subjects of the Russian North-West Federal District in the implementation of the Institute of Regulatory Impact Assessment of statutory legal acts

Coordination Meeting on the implementation of the Presidential Decree dated by May 7, 2012 № 601 "On main directions of improving public governance" in the Subjects of the Russian Federation of the North-West Federal District, organized by the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, was held in Veliky Novgorod.
Director of the Regulatory Impact Assessment Department of The Ministry of Economic Development of Russia Mr. Zhivulin V.A. in his report highlighted the burning issues of the implementation of the regulatory impact assessment in the Subjects of the Russian Federation.
Regulatory impact assessment of statutory legal acts is carried out in order to identify the provisions introducing redundant duties, prohibitions and restrictions for the subjects of entrepreneurial and investment activities, or facilitating their introduction, as well as provisions that contribute to the incurring of unreasonable spending of business and investment activities and budgets of all levels, members of the budget system RF.
The regulatory impact assessment of the statutory legal acts has been implemented in the Murmansk region since 2013.
The Committee for Development of Industry and Entrepreneurship of the Murmansk region formed the legal and statutory framework of the Institute of Regulatory Impact Assessment, and evaluated more than 80 federal and 7 regional statutory legal acts.
The Murmansk region ranks 4th among the Subjects of the Russian Federation and 1st among the Subjects of the Russian North-West Federal District in The Ministry of Economic Development of Russia ranking, which characterizes the formation and implementation degree of the Institute of Regulatory Impact Assessment.
